Why does my tracking say "USPS Currently Awaiting Package"?

One of our shipping depots uses UPS Mail Innovations. Items shipped through UPSMI ship via both UPS and USPS (United State Postal Service). UPS ships the package most of the way and hands the package over to USPS in the destination zip code for final delivery. 

 

If your tracking number returns a message of "USPS Currently Awaiting Package" on the USPS.com site, please track the number through UPS.com which should provide an estimated delivery date. Tracking will also update on UPS.com once the package is handed over to them.

 

If the estimated delivery date on tracking through UPS.com has passed, please alert us since that may mean the package has been lost by one of the two carriers.
